Brenda Babcock lived in Austria for 46 years. While there, she visited friends in Finland, and to keep her busy when they had to work at their jobs, they sent her to the local weaving house. She had never been around weaving before, but found she had a natural ability to weave. Since that first time, both she and her husband have spent many hours learning to weave. Brenda has three looms at home and enjoys learning about different techniques of handiwork. Brenda uses several techniques of handiwork including weaving, bobbin lace making, hardanger and cross stitch to name a few.
